100 meters after the start line, the course makes an S to the left. A 275m straight line follows shortly after, right before engaging into the Côte de la Cathedrale's descent on Joliet boulevard. This 700m downhill slope reaches a 15% drop.
Then, a 90 o sharp left turn awaits you in order to engage onto Chiasson street droping up to 3%. Chiasson street naturally turns right towards the end, but you will nonetheless make a 90 o left turn on Pottier street. You will follow Pottier street for 150m until the Manicouagan boulevard roundabout. You will ride on this boulevard for 1600m, braving the strong winds blowing from the St-Lawrence River. It will lead to Lejeune and then Galleran street offering you a 4% hill.
At the end of these streets, you will ride down Helène boulevard for 200m before making another 90o turn onto Bernarche boulevard. Then, you will turn left to climb the 4% ascents on Dieppe and Côté streets. You will make a large turn right at the corner of Côté street and et René-Bélanger boulevard. You are then engaging into a 650m larger and steeper part of the course that may reach a 4.7% down slope.
You will turn left on Joliet boulevard’s false flat before ascending the côte de la Cathédrale. From the begining of the flase flat all the to the top of the hill, you will ride 1200m through an average of 4.3% elevation, reaching a maximum of 15% at its highest point. A flatter course awaits you afterwards : indeed an average of 1.4% elevation is expected through that part of the course. Thereafter, you will turn left onto Conan Street. Conan street presents a natural right turn, but instead you will turn left to reach Nouvel street for less than 200m before making a 90 o right turn onto Peupliers street upon which you will be riding for almost 150m.
Yet another 90 o right turn will bring you onto Blanche boulevard’s 400m western lane. You will have to negotiate a tight 90 o turn onto Puyjalon street : a one of a kind section of the course that leads downtown. There, the first part of the street upon which you will turn is seperated by a 30m long median strip. At the end of the strip, the outside edges of both lanes drastically narrow down in a 45 o angle towards the center of the road which leaves with two 200m long central lanes bordered by parking spaces on each side. Ahead, you will engage onto a larger road for 550m before making a 90 o right turn onto de Bretagne street. You will ride on de Bretagne for a short 100m before making it to the final turn of the circuit : a sharp 90 o right turn to position yourself for the last sprint of the race. Now onto Joliet boulevard, the 700m flat straight line will allow you to push your limits to cross the finish line.
